BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

All behaviour is communication, and we’re here to listen.

At River, we take a compassionate, strengths-based approach to behaviour support. We work closely with children, parents, educators, and support teams to understand what’s really going on beneath the behaviour - and build positive, practical strategies that help everyone thrive.

We believe behaviour isn’t “naughty.” It’s communication. With the right tools and support, we can help children grow in confidence, connection, and emotional understanding.

How We Work:

  • Family-first approach — We work with parents and children together to develop strategies that work at home and in the community.

  • School collaboration — Our team can attend school visits, support teachers, and run through behaviour plans to ensure consistent, clear communication across settings.

  • Tailored to your child — Every child is different. We take into account clinical recommendations, your goals, and our neurodiversity-affirming lens to create a support plan that truly fits.

  • Vine Lens approach — We use a trauma-informed, holistic framework that sees the whole child, not just the behaviour.

We don’t just manage behaviour - we understand it, reframe it, and respond with care
